Honoka’s fourth outfit is still being developed.
Movesets
Each fighter has a unique moveset and playstyle that represents their personality. Some moves also reference key moments in their source material.
Stages
Fight in various locations from different idol universes. Stages can be based on well-known landmarks, music videos, and other source material.
IDOL ROYALE Arena
The game's "default" stage. Takes place inside of an arena with a singular flat platform. A TV screen is in the back displaying unique titles for each of the fighters.
Assists
IDOL ROYALE features an assist system akin to Marvel vs. Capcom and JUMP Ultimate Stars. Before the match, you equip two assists that you can summon during battle to perform an Assist Attack before despawning. Assists also allow more characters to join the battle beyond the main playable roster.
Gameplay Mechanics
IDOL ROYALE features a streamlined version of the classic platform fighter formula, as well as unique mechanics that set it apart from other platform fighters. It has a control scheme that should be familiar to anyone coming from other platform fighters, and is simple enough to learn for complete beginners.
Chargeable Tilts
All directional attacks can be charged, allowing them to be used as quick, weak attacks, or stronger, slower attacks when needed. Use your charge attacks wisely to secure early finishes!
Guard and Parry
Guarding in IDOL ROYALE is simple, holding down the Guard button lets you block oncoming attacks, but be careful, as you’re still vulnerable to grabs. Pressing the Special button while Guarding allows you to perform a parry. If you're hit during the parry window, your opponent will stagger for a brief moment, allowing you to deliver a counter attack.
Dash
Pressing the Guard button with a direction allows you to perform a dash in any direction, both on the ground and in the air. Dashes can be cancelled into an attack to extend your reach, and can also be used to avoid attacks or as a recovery option.

Did I mention that dashing into the ground lets you wavedash?
Special Cancel/Dash Cancel
Similarly to traditional 2D fighters, you can cancel any normal attack into a special attack on hit.
You can also cancel an attack into a dash, allowing you to chase down your opponent after launching them.
Rollback Netcode
This game was built with Online Multiplayer in mind from the beginning. The game uses rollback netcode for a smooth online experience.
